The crash
NYSSA, OR — A police pursuit that began in Canyon County ended when a gray Acura crashed into an irrigation ditch in Nyssa and rolled onto its roof, according to local officials.
The wreck happened after the vehicle headed south on Grey Boulevard and tried to make a fast left turn onto Eureka Avenue. Police said the car became submerged, trapping all three occupants until officers and first responders got them out.
How it began
Nyssa police said they were alerted by Canyon County that Parma police were chasing a vehicle toward Nyssa, Oregon. Officers said the car entered the city at a high rate of speed before continuing onto county roads.
The pursuit moved through town and ended at the ditch crash after the attempted turn. Police did not say what prompted the original chase.
Injuries reported
Nyssa police said the driver was hurt and was airlifted for additional medical treatment. The two passengers were treated at the scene and released…
