City of Nampa holds special meeting to consider appointing new mayor

On Wednesday at 9 a.m., Nampa City Council held a special meeting at City Hall to discuss the mayoral vacancy following the untimely death of its late mayor, Rick Hogaboam.

During the meeting, city council members voted ‘no’ to two proposed candidates, former mayor Debbie Kling and Chief of Staff Clay Long.

The meeting was adjourned without appointing a new mayor, meaning City Council President David Bills will continue to fulfill the city’s mayoral responsibilities for the time being…
