Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden held a closed-door meeting with community leaders for more than an hour Wednesday to discuss a deadly police shooting that’s caused controversy in Boston.
The district attorney met privately with city, community and faith leaders to discuss the fatal shooting of Stephenson King by Boston Police Officer Nicholas O’Malley, who’s been indicted by a grand jury. O’Malley’s attorneys have said they plan to argue that he was acting in self-defense and in defense of his partner when he shot and killed King on March 11.
