The City of Watertown, Massachusetts, is letting residents know that Eversource will soon begin replacing all electric meters in town with new smart meters, an upgrade the City says will bring more visibility into household energy use and faster outage reporting. The installation itself is quick, taking about five minutes, and customers should expect a series of letters from Eversource beginning roughly three months before their scheduled meter exchange that explain what to expect and how to prepare.
