The announcement that Party Favors would close after prompted an outpouring of grief, with hundreds of Brookline residents flooding social media last weekend to share memories of birthdays, weddings and other life milestones made sweeter by the store’s cakes, pastries and party supplies.
But John and Mary Lynn Pergantis, who have owned the store for 35 years, say the bakery’s story may not be over just yet.
Asking for community support, and hoping to find a benefactor with funds to help them keep afloat, the husband and wife aren’t ready to give up their dream jobs…
