BROCKTON — An Abington mother pleaded not guilty today to charges that she physically abused her two-month-old daughter so severely that the infant may never walk, speak, feed herself, or care for herself, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
Jillian Timmons, 34, was arraigned in Brockton District Court on two counts of assault and battery on a child causing serious bodily injury and one count of reckless endangerment of a child. A judge ordered her held on $100,000 cash bail. If she posts bail, she must stay away from and have no contact with the baby or the baby’s father.
The case stems from a two-week investigation by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Abington police.
