BOSTON (WWLP) – A Dominican national living unlawfully in Dorchester was sentenced to five years in federal prison for his role in a large-scale fentanyl-trafficking conspiracy.

According to federal prosecuters, Anderson Ernesto Andujar Echavarria, 28, will serve six years of supervised release following his prison term and is subject to deportation after completing his sentence.
Andujar pleaded guilty in December 2025 to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, three counts of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl, one count of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl and methamphetamine, and one count of possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl.
According to prosecutors, Andujar was identified as a large-scale drug trafficker in November 2023. Investigators said he distributed tens of thousands of pressed fentanyl pills, as well as powdered fentanyl, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, to undercover law enforcement officers during the investigation…
