A couple who spent nearly six months on the run have been indicted for their roles in a fatal Brockton shooting that killed 40-year-old father and soon-to-be grandfather Mike Jonas, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office said in a statement Thursday.
Michael Thompson, 36, and his girlfriend, Dayana Slade, 25, were apprehended in Lewiston, Maine, in February, months after they were identified as suspects in connection with the daytime shooting of Jonas inside Finnegan Park in Brockton in September 2025.
A Plymouth County grand jury indicted Thompson Wednesday, Aug. 12, on one count of murder, two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and one count each of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card and unlawful discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building, the DA’s office said…
