Family identifies man stabbed to death at South Station in Boston

The mother of a man who was stabbed to death at Boston’s South Station Wednesday evening has identified him as 29-year-old Latavious Owens, The Boston Globe reported.

Boston police officers responded to the stabbing at the MBTA station shortly after 5:30 p.m., according to the police department. They found the victim at the scene suffering from stab wounds, and he later died at a hospital.

The victim and the suspect got into a fight on an escalator leading to one of the station’s exits, police said. Superintendent Paul McLaughlin told reporters Thursday that the killing “was not a random attack.”…
