BOSTON (WWLP) – A 25-year-old Boston woman was sentenced Tuesday for her role in a scheme to defraud a Massachusetts bank.
Two Massachusetts men face charges in armed bank robberies
According to federal prosecutors, Trinity Antonetty was sentenced to time served, approximately one day in prison, followed by two years of supervised release. The first 60 days of her supervised release will be served in home detention.
Between July and October 2024, prosecutors said Antonetty opened a business bank account and allowed Phalentz Vernot to deposit fraudulently obtained cashier’s checks into the account. Antonetty used money from one of the checks to purchase a cashier’s check payable to a shell company controlled by Vernot, according to prosecutors.
Antonetty was also ordered to pay $56,000 in restitution. She pleaded guilty in March to one count of bank fraud…
