Man arrested in NH after girlfriend’s killing in Salem, Mass., faces murder charge

A man who’s been charged with murder in the death of a woman in Salem, Massachusetts, last week appeared in court to face a judge Wednesday.

Paul Morey, 50, had been arrested in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, last Wednesday in the death of Patricia Donaldson. Following his extradition to Massachusetts, Morey appeared in Salem District Court to be arraigned on the murder charge, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.

“Mr. Morey caused the death of his girlfriend, who was living with him at the time,” Assistant District Attorney Stefanie Stanbro told the judge as she asked for Morey to be held without bail…
