“Full-blown crisis” at Massachusetts General Hospital for patients seeking emergency care

BOSTON – Patients at Massachusetts General Hospital are expressing dissatisfaction with their encounters in the emergency department, while it is not due to the caliber of treatment they get. The cause of this issue is the excessive number of individuals, resulting in overcrowding, extended waiting times, and an overwhelming volume of patients seeking medical attention.

“You are passively sitting, unaware, pondering whether they have neglected our existence.” The current situation appears very disordered and lacking in organization. “It’s overpowering,” said Abby Lipschutz.

Josh Lipschutz is currently facing a life-threatening condition known as terminal brain cancer.

“I believe it is a universal challenge that the healthcare community faces.” “Our interaction with our physicians has been excellent, however, navigating through the Emergency Department has proven to be a formidable obstacle,” he conveyed to WBZ-TV.

Incidence of respiratory diseases is on the rise.

Physicians suggest that the surge in respiratory ailments is exacerbating the situation.
