BRAINTREE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A nearly 100-year-old elementary school will be seeing its final classes this spring.
For residents of Braintree Highlands, the Highlands Elementary School was basically a neighborhood rite of passage. This week, the Braintree School Committee voted 6-1 to close the building.
Students will be moved to the old South Middle School next year. Other facilities could also be merged at a future date…
