USPS exits community for good as it pulls out of post office plan – and outraged homeowners are ‘deeply frustrated’

THE US Postal Service has axed plans to reopen a shuttered post office, leaving an entire community without a brick and mortar shop.

Furious residents said they were “deeply frustrated” at the sudden U-turn – as they’ll have to travel farther for services.

The USPS was in the midst of lease negotiations over the location in Allston, Massachusetts, which is a neighborhood in Boston, when it pulled out, a developer has said.

Noah Maslan, the principal at Eden Properties, said it was an “unexpected reversal” and blasted the service for making a commitment to the community…
