Drought conditions in Massachusetts worsened over a two-week span in April, according to the latest report from state officials.
The Northeast Region of the state, which includes Boston, is now categorized as experiencing Level 3 drought conditions following a Friday announcement from Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Rebecca Tepper. Level 3 areas carry a designation as Critical Drought.
