Drug suspect linked to 2011 Taco Bell shooting

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) – A suspect in the drug task force wiretap case that led to over 20 arrests and the seizure of over half a million dollars in narcotics was previously convicted for his involvement in a 2011 fatal shooting.

Lester Miranda-Davis, 33, was arrested in Denver on an outstanding warrant and taken into custody. He was transferred and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility for drug distribution, local law enforcement announced last week.

He has a hearing on bond on July 24.

Miranda-Davis was previously the getaway driver in the fatal shooting at a Taco Bell in Grand Junction in July 2011. Three people were shot, including Jorge Carrasco, who died from his injuries…
