Bear spotted resting in a tree in Boulder County neighborhood

A bear was spotted resting on tree branches in a Gunbarrel neighborhood midday Monday.

The black bear was seen lying in the tree between two homes on Driftwood Place, with its chest huffing with each breath and its tongue sticking out, according to a series of photos shared by Boulder Twin Lakes Inn general manager Nyla Prasad.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife and animal control personnel watched the bear as it rested in the tree around 11:45 a.m., Prasad said in a phone call, after leaving work and driving around the block to find the bear.
