As soon as this fall, Longmont residents will be able to hop on a bus and ride directly to Denver International Airport, after Regional Transportation District officials approved a new bus route Tuesday evening.
The Longmont-to-DIA “SkyRide” bus route — route AL — is set to begin service Sept. 27. Buses will depart from the Eighth Avenue and Coffman Street Park-n-Ride each hour from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and make stops at the U.S. 287 and Niwot Park-n-Ride and the Lafayette Park-n-Ride. The bus will then continue via E-470 and Peña Boulevard to the airport.
