DENVER (KDVR) – A Boulder County Jail inmate has been charged with felony first-degree assault after officials said he assaulted a deputy who was seriously injured.
According to a release, the incident occurred on Friday when the deputy was escorting the inmate, identified as 36-year-old Josephis Wade, up a stairwell.

Wade allegedly braced himself onto the stairway railing and kicked the deputy, who fell off the stairs and broke a bone from hitting his back on the cinder block wall.
