WELD COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — A sticky situation is under investigation in Weld County after deputies said a suspect stole dozens of pounds of honey from a Berthoud area business.
According to the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, the theft happened on April 12 around 12:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of East Highway 56.

Investigators said surveillance video captured the incident at a self-serve style business, showing a suspect walking directly up to the display before taking multiple jars.
“It’s very direct, no other movements outside of that. Just once he comes into camera view, he gets right to business of committing the theft,” said Melissa Chesmore, Public Information Officer with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office.
