Denver police make arrest in Broadway homicide

Denver police have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with a homicide earlier this month.

Rayzjuan Jabrie Curry faces a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Torin Fluker, 26. Police initially responded at about 1:55 a.m. April 5 to the area of West Maple Avenue and South Broadway on reports of a shooting. Fluker was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds; he was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators identified Curry as the suspect through witness interviews and a review of surveillance footage. Police said Curry and Fluker knew one another and were engaged in a verbal altercation prior to the shooting. Curry was arrested Thursday…
