Suspect arrested following Arvada shelter-in-place

DENVER (KDVR) — Arvada police were looking for an armed suspect and ordered a shelter-in-place on Wednesday afternoon, according to a post on X from the Arvada Police Department.

At 3:57 p.m., the Arvada police provided an update that the suspect was taken into custody and the shelter-in-place was lifted.

Officers were searching for the suspect in the area around West 72nd Avenue and Simms Street.
