More than 8,600 customers are without power in Boulder and across Boulder County on Wednesday morning, after forecasters warned of outages resulting from the winter snowstorm.
Power is out for at least 8,667 customers in Boulder County as of about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to Xcel’s outage map. Another 765 customers are without power in an area described as Boulder and Larimer counties, according to the utility.
Outages appear to be mostly affecting the city of Boulder, but stretch into the foothills, Lafayette, Louisville and the Niwot area, according to the map…
