Search resumes for missing swimmer off Siesta Key Beach; personal belongings found

SIESTA KEY, Fla. (WFLA) — Multiple law enforcement agencies are conducting a search for a missing person in the area of Siesta Key Beach.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said at about 10:22 p.m. Tuesday, a person called 911 saying they saw “an adult Asian male in his early 20’s, approximately 6’ tall, with tattoos on his arm” enter the water.

However, he never returned to the shore.

Deputies responded and found personal items that belonged to the missing individual, who was not named in the release.

Authorities searched the beach and waters but did not find him before suspending the search for the night…
