New workforce housing complex in Bradenton aimed at helping hometown heroes and first responders

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — A newly opened affordable housing community in Bradenton is giving priority access to teachers, first responders, health care workers and other local employees as the region continues to face high housing costs.

The Nest Apartments, a $22.9 million complex built by One Stop Housing, is designed for people who make 80% of the area’s median income.
