VENICE — A local car dealership has expansion plans that could include bringing in a second brand.
KFHOV LLC will be asking for Sarasota County Planning Commission approval Thursday of a special exception that would allow construction of two new service and sales buildings on a nearly seven-acre parcel north of the existing Hyundai of Venice dealership, with associated parking, possibly to accommodate another branded dealership.
The exception is needed to link the parcels, which are separated by Crestview Boulevard, a private road, so the expansion site would be considered to meet the nine-acre minimum for vehicle sales and service…
