NORTH PORT — Commissioners in North Port took steps toward borrowing for two different projects last week.
On Tuesday, the North Port City Commission voted 3-2 to adopt a resolution involving proposal from “TD Public Finance, LLC” to provide the city with a loan to finance capital improvements in the city, approving a loan agreement in an amount not exceeding $34,125,000.
One of the projects will be $9 million for a new “Community Service Center,” including two buildings, and the other is a $25 million part of a new, planned $122 million police station…
