Manatee County ice sports complex proposal draws neighbor pushback

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. (WWSB) – Manatee County has approved negotiations with IceMann Development for an approximately $80 million indoor ice sports complex near Premier Sports Campus and the Lakewood Ranch Library.

But residents near the proposed site are raising concerns about the project’s impact on their neighborhood.

The facility would span nearly 190,000 square feet and include ice rinks for hockey and figure skating, as well as space for volleyball, cheerleading and community events.
