Afternoon storms pop up mainly over the interior as the sea breeze pushes inland. Winds will be westerly 10-15 mph in the afternoon. Heat index values will feel particularly intense in the 100s, so stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat if you’re spending time outdoors.
Thunderstorm chances increase after Tuesday. The best rain chances will continue over the interior each afternoon as storms builds inland. This pattern will persist through the week, with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing daily.
