MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — After decades of nearing extinction, there may be a promising future ahead for Florida scrub-jays now that conservationists working with the Mosaic Company are taking another big step to boost the population.
“It’s rare,” said Raoul Boughton, senior manager of ecology and wildlife at Mosaic. “It’s like a diamond, if you want to call it that.”
