BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – Manatee County’s Gulf Islands Ferry Service has launched its newest vessel, the Manatee Belle, offering larger capacity, faster service and air conditioning for passengers traveling between downtown Bradenton and Anna Maria Island.
The new ferry carries 91 passengers, nearly doubling the capacity of the original 48-passenger vessels. County commissioners said 95% of ferry service trips originate from downtown Bradenton.
