MANASOTA KEY, Fla. (WWSB) – Two homeowners say they are running out of time to save their beachfront homes from erosion after Sarasota County commissioners denied their request to build a seawall.
Michael Scharfenberger and another homeowner asked for permission to build the seawall, hoping it could slow erosion and stabilize the land beneath their homes.
“We’ll stay here until, I guess, the house falls into the water,” Scharfenberger said…
