Cleanup underway after storms cause damage, power outages on Long Island

People on Long Island are hoping not to see a repeat after Thursday night’s storms, which caused damage, including fires, and knocked out power for thousands of people.

The winds toppled trees in several towns, and on Friday, schools in Central Islip and Amityville are being dismissed early due to the heat.

In Massapequa, the power lines are still down, and PSE&G crews are working to repair it right now…
