STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — America’s 250th anniversary celebrations moved New York City’s Fleet Week celebration from its traditional Memorial Day timing to around the Fourth of July weekend.
The annual event celebrates the nation’s sea services — the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Marine Corps — with reviews of the U.S. and international fleets along with family-friendly activities around the New York Harbor, including on Staten Island.
