New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is fueling rumors that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will tie the knot in the Big Apple.
Amid reports that the couple, both 36, plan to marry over the Fourth of July weekend, Mamdani, 34, listed their wedding alongside other high-profile events taking place in N.Y.C. during a press conference on Monday, June 15. He mentioned the highly anticipated wedding while discussing the NYPD’s preparedness to provide a “safe experience” for the July 5 match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium) in East Rutherford, N.J.
“We are the biggest city in the country,” Mamdani said. “We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one. We know it coincides with the Knicks’ Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time —and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”
