On duty EMT assaulted, vehicle vandalized in the Bronx: FDNY

CONCOURSE, The Bronx (PIX11) — An EMT is recovering in the hospital after being assaulted while on duty in the Bronx on Thursday morning, according to the FDNY.

An unknown person assaulted the service member after vandalizing their EMS vehicle at the intersection of McClellan Street and Morris Avenue just before 6:45 a.m., a spokesperson for the fire department said.

The EMT was taken to the hospital, where they were expected to survive, the FDNY reported.
