Man killed after being punched in Brooklyn: NYPD

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A man was killed after being punched in Brooklyn on Thursday evening, according to the NYPD.

Authorities found 52-year-old Kemal Karakatal unconscious and unresponsive at the intersection of Pitkin and Van Siclen Avenues in East New York, Brooklyn, around 10:19 p.m., police say.

Officers were told he was punched in the face and fell to the ground. Karakatal was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
