WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) — A motorcyclist was killed in Manhattan early Thursday, according to the NYPD.
Police say, around 2:24 a.m. Thursday, 26-year-old Ty Rodriguez of Manhattan was operating a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle traveling southbound on Harlem River Drive when he failed to navigate the roadway and struck the metal guard rail.

According to authorities, Rodriguez sustained severe trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
