NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – New Yorkers can apply to be a cop later in life, thanks to new legislation passed by the City Council.
The age limit for applying to the NYPD has been raised from 35 to 43. The council unanimously approved the legislation on Thursday, which aligns the city with a similar state law passed in 2025.
