Resorts World NYC Adds 1,400 Slot Machines as Part of $5.5B Expansion

Resorts World New York City on Tuesday opened the first floor of its commercial casino, adding 1,400 slot machines less than three months after the new facility became the city’s first full-fledged casino. The move, which brings the number of slot machines onsite to 3,900, is expected to significantly increase gross gaming revenue and commensurate taxes to New York State, according to Resorts World.

“Since the moment we opened, our slot machines have been incredibly popular with the public, generating more than $230 million in gross gaming revenue in just 11 weeks,” said Robert DeSalvio, president of Genting Americas East. “With these 1,400 new games, we will be able to accommodate more patrons and generate even more in taxes for the state.”…
