A 34-year-old set designer who worked on shows including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Goosebumps was found fatally stabbed in the basement of her New York City home in what a police source tells PEOPLE was a “possible murder-suicide” involving her husband.

Mary Kate Golding was discovered after police were called to the Astoria, Queens, residence shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, an NYPD spokesperson tells PEOPLE. Officers found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hours later, at approximately 6:39 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of “an unconscious person in the vicinity of Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard.” Officers found a man “approximately 30 to 35 years of age, unconscious and unresponsive inside the park.” He was pronounced dead at the scene…
