NJ man charged with intercepting $2,608.34 check

WESTPORT–A North Bergen, New Jersey, man is due in court later this month to face a charge that he intercepted, endorsed and deposited a $2,608.34 check that was meant for someone else.

The alleged victim reported the incident at police headquarters on May 14, police said.

Police investigated and found that the check had been mobile-deposited to a bank account belonging to Ramon Tejada-Grullon, 29. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he turned himself in at police headquarters on Aug. 11…
