The atmosphere is preparing a holiday-weekend reset after days of heat, humidity, and powerful thunderstorms.
Cooler, drier, and more comfortable air will expand across much of the Northeast beginning Friday, Sept. 4, according to the National Weather Service. The change will set up a mainly dry Labor Day weekend from New England through the New York City and Philadelphia areas.
