An NYPD traffic enforcement agent was punched in the face while writing a parking summons outside 1800 Davidson Avenue in the Bronx on August 28, and police are now hunting the man and woman who confronted him before fleeing in opposite directions. The agent, who was on duty and in uniform at the time, was left with pain to his head and face after the roughly noon-hour encounter in the confines of the 46th Precinct.
According to NYPD Crime Stoppers
, the agent was issuing a summons to a parked vehicle at approximately 12:03 p.m. when an unknown man and an unknown woman approached him. The man punched the agent in the face, and the woman then fled the scene in a vehicle in an unknown direction while the man ran on foot northbound on Davidson Avenue toward West 177th Street, per the same account. Crime Stoppers is now asking the public for any information on the pair, including images or footage that might help identify them.

Whoever is identified in connection with the attack could face serious legal exposure.
