Furor over the migrants who were allowed to bolt New York City after beating two cops in Times Square exploded as the dominant issue Sunday in the Feb. 13 special election to replace the expelled ex-Rep. George Santos .
Both former Democratic Congressman Tom Suozzi and Republican foe Mazi Pilip expressed outrage over the debacle and said the migrants should be kicked out of the country.
They then took shots at each other over who is part of the problem and who will be the solution to the border crisis.
Lefty laws protect NYC migrants who beat cops from getting deported, congresswoman says
“So let me make it very clear. Those guys that beat up the New York City police officers, they should be deported immediately. They should be thrown out of the country,” Suozzi said during a get-out-the-vote rally on Long Island during the second day of early voting for the 3rd congressional district, which covers Nassau County, LI, and parts of northern Queens.
“If you let someone in your house and they broke the furniture, you’re gonna let them sleep over another night? I don’t think so,” he said.
