New York man sentenced for $66K liquor theft scheme across Pennsylvania counties

HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN CO. (WOLF) — A New York man will serve time in prison after admitting to a widespread identity theft scheme that targeted liquor stores across multiple Pennsylvania counties.

Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that 26-year-old Eugene Antwi, of Brooklyn, was sentenced in Dauphin County to 4 to 23 months behind bars, followed by two years of probation. He was also ordered to repay more than $66,000.

Investigators say Antwi used stolen credit and debit card information, along with fake identities, to place more than 200 online orders for high-end liquor. Authorities say he later picked up those purchases in person at state-run Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores across 21 counties…
