UNIONDALE, Long Island (PIX11) — A 51-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly trying to kidnap an 11-year-old boy in New York on Monday afternoon, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
The incident happened around 2:25 p.m. Police say the suspect, Nelson Acevedo of Uniondale, approached the boy and tried to lure him into a nearby home with money.

Acevedo then grabbed the victim’s wrist, but the victim was able to escape and walked quickly away, according to officials.
