Firefighters hospitalized in Queens blaze: FDNY

ASTORIA, Queens (PIX11) — Over a dozen people, including 12 firefighters, were injured in a multiple-alarm fire in Astoria, according to FDNY officials.

Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore said 12 firefighters were taken to a nearby hospital, nine of whom sustained serious injuries battling the blaze Sunday afternoon.
