Albany, NY (WRGB) — Community complaints about suspected drug activity near 400 Central Ave. led Albany County sheriff’s investigators to arrest a Manhattan man on felony drug possession charges, authorities said.
Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. reported that members of the Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) Unit conducted a narcotics investigation in the area at about 3:46 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, after receiving several complaints from the community.
As a result of the investigation, authorities said 34-year-old Hakeem Bradley was found in possession of 24 individual packages containing crack cocaine, weighing about 20.5 grams. The narcotics were packaged in a manner consistent with distribution, the sheriff’s office said.
Bradley was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; one count of tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony; one count of obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; and one count of resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor…
