Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills are looking for a suspect wanted in connection to an unprovoked elderly assault on an E train on Monday, June 15.
A 62-year-old woman was sitting on a northbound E train approaching the 71st Avenue – Forest Hills subway station at 3:10 p.m. when a female stranger approached the victim and struck her in the head with a metal water canister, causing a laceration, police said. The suspect ran out of the station onto Queens Boulevard and fled in an unknown direction.
EMS responded and transported the injured woman to Long Island Jewish Forest Hills-Northwell Health, where she was listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect and described her as having a dark complexion and wore a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and red and white sneakers, and she carried a gold metal water canister that she allegedly used to bludgeon her victim…
